The IPO allocation calculator estimates how many whole shares may be allocated when a percentage of the requested shares is assumed to be filled. It also compares the requested subscription value with the allocated value and calculates the unallocated amount.
Enter the requested number of shares, offer price per share and assumed allocation percentage. The calculator multiplies requested shares by the percentage and rounds down to a whole-share allocation, then values both the requested and allocated quantities at the same offer price.
Requested shares and offer price must be greater than zero, and allocation percentage must be between 0% and 100%. Because shares are rounded down to a whole number, the effective allocation can be slightly below the entered percentage. The calculator does not model an issuer's actual allocation rules, minimum allocations, tiers, fees or refund timing.
A request for 1,000 shares at 25 per share with an assumed 10% allocation gives 100 allocated shares. Requested value is 25,000, allocated value is 2,500 and the unallocated amount is 22,500.
Use this calculator for subscription scenarios only. It does not predict demand, oversubscription, allocation policy, listing price or investment performance.
No. It is a scenario input only. Actual allocation is determined by the offering and its subscription rules.
The engine returns whole shares using floor rounding rather than a fractional share allocation.
Not necessarily. It is the difference between requested and allocated share value at the entered offer price and does not automatically include fees or other offering-specific adjustments.
