Open calculatorThe stock net profit calculator estimates gross and net trading profit for a share purchase and sale using editable broker commission and VAT-on-commission assumptions. It also estimates net return and a selling price that mathematically covers the modeled purchase and sale fees.
Enter share quantity, purchase price, selling price, commission percentage and VAT percentage applied to the commissions. The calculator charges commission on both purchase and sale values, applies the entered VAT rate to those commissions, subtracts total modeled fees from gross trading profit and derives a break-even sale price from the same fee assumptions.
Shares and buy price must be positive, sell price cannot be negative, commission cannot be negative and VAT-on-commission must be between 0% and 100%. Commission and VAT are editable scenario inputs and should not be treated as an official brokerage or tax rate. The break-even expression is economically meaningful only while the effective sell-side fee rate leaves a positive denominator.
For 1,000 shares bought at 25 and sold at 30, with commission 0.15% and VAT on commission 15%, gross profit is 5,000, modeled total fees are 94.88, net profit is 4,905.13, net return is 19.59% and break-even selling price is 25.0864.
This is a transaction-cost scenario, not an official fee schedule or investment recommendation. Confirm actual brokerage, exchange, tax and other charges before trading.
Not by this calculation. Both fields are editable assumptions. Enter the rates that apply to your broker, market and transaction.
No. Gross profit is simply selling value minus buying value. The modeled commissions and VAT on those commissions are then deducted to obtain net profit.
It uses the modeled purchase cost including buy-side commission and VAT and accounts for the modeled sell-side commission and VAT rate. It does not include costs that are not represented by the inputs.
