Cotisations GOSI en Arabie saoudite

Parts de l’employé et de l’employeur pour l’assurance sociale.

GOSI social insurance contributions are a mandatory monthly deduction on every Saudi payslip, and understanding them protects you from over- or under-deduction. This calculator computes the employee and employer shares under the General Organization for Social Insurance rules.

Comment ça marche

Enter the contributory wage — basic salary plus housing allowance only, not the full package — and select nationality and system. The statutory cap of SAR 45,000 is applied automatically: anything above it is not subject to contributions.

La formule

Contribution = contributory wage (capped at 45,000) × rate

Saudis registered before July 2024: employee 9.75% (9% pension + 0.75% SANED), employer 11.75% (adds 2% occupational hazards). Under the new system, the pension rate rises 0.5% yearly toward 11% by 2028. Non-Saudis: employer pays 2% only; nothing is deducted from the employee.

Exemple détaillé

A Saudi employee (old system) with a contributory wage of SAR 8,000: SAR 780 is deducted and the employer pays 940. An employee at SAR 60,000 contributes only on 45,000 — SAR 4,387.5, exactly the same as someone earning 45,000.

Questions fréquentes

Do transport allowance and bonuses count in the contributory wage?

No — the statutory base is basic salary + housing allowance (cash or in-kind) only. Transport, hardship, and variable bonuses are normally excluded; including them over-deducts from your salary.

How do I know if I'm on the old or new system?

The new system covers those who joined the labor market after 1 July 2024 and those below the prescribed contribution thresholds at that date. Check your system type directly in your Taminaty app account.

What benefits does this deduction buy?

The 9% pension branch builds your retirement pension; 0.75% SANED insures you against unemployment with temporary monthly compensation; and the employer-only 2% covers work injuries and occupational diseases.

Rates reflect the rules at the time of writing and may change, especially the graduated new-system rates. The authoritative figure is what appears in your GOSI account.
