HRDF Employment Support Calculator — Saudi Arabia

Estimate Hadaf employment wage support using the current 30% base rate, additional support factors and official caps. Final eligibility is determined by HRDF.

Salary and employee-entitlement calculators

Calculate salary, net pay, GOSI deductions, annual leave, notice period, end-of-service benefit and final settlement.

The HRDF Employment Support Calculator estimates the wage support an eligible Saudi employee may generate for a private-sector or non-profit establishment under the current Employment Support product. It combines the 30% base support rate with the additional 10% factors published by the Human Resources Development Fund, while enforcing the current percentage and monetary caps. The result is a planning estimate only; HRDF determines final eligibility and payment.

How it works

Enter the basic monthly salary and housing allowance recorded or expected to be recorded in GOSI, then select the applicable support factors. Current additional factors include female employment, a person with a disability, medium/small/micro establishment size, employment outside Riyadh/Jeddah/Dammam/Khobar, targeted economic sectors and targeted occupations or job titles. The calculator adds 10 percentage points for each selected factor but caps the applied rate at 50%.

The formula

Support rate = min(50%, 30% + applicable 10% factors). Supported wage = basic salary + housing allowance. Estimated monthly support = min(supported wage × support rate, SAR 3,000, 50% of supported wage). Estimated 24-month support = monthly support × 24.

The supported wage is basic salary plus housing allowance and must currently be between SAR 4,000 and SAR 15,000 according to GOSI records. The base rate is 30%. Each applicable additional factor contributes 10 percentage points, but the total rate cannot exceed 50%. The monthly amount cannot exceed SAR 3,000 or 50% of the monthly supported wage, whichever is lower. Targeted activities and professions can change, so confirm the current HRDF lists before selecting those factors.

Worked example

For a supported wage of SAR 10,000 with no additional factors, 30% equals SAR 3,000, so the estimated monthly support is SAR 3,000 and the 24-month estimate is SAR 72,000. For a wage of SAR 4,000 with enough additional factors to reach the 50% rate, the support is SAR 2,000 per month because 50% of the wage is lower than the SAR 3,000 monetary ceiling.

Frequently asked questions

Does the calculator confirm that the employee is eligible for HRDF support?

No. It estimates the amount only. Current HRDF conditions also require the employee to be Saudi, generally 18–60 years old, registered on the Fund's platform, registered in GOSI under the same establishment, working full-time, and meeting the other published eligibility conditions.

When can an establishment submit the Employment Support request?

Under the current published rules, the employee must have been registered with the establishment in GOSI for at least 90 days. The establishment can submit the request from day 91 through day 180 from the GOSI registration date.

Which salary is used to calculate the support?

HRDF currently uses the wage registered in GOSI, defined for this product as basic salary plus housing allowance. The published eligible range is SAR 4,000 to SAR 15,000 per month.

Can several additional 10% factors be combined?

Yes, when the relevant HRDF conditions or campaigns apply, but the calculator caps the applied support rate at 50%. The final monthly payment is also subject to the SAR 3,000 or 50%-of-wage ceiling, whichever is lower.

Can a foreign-owned establishment benefit?

The currently published HRDF criteria state that private-sector and non-profit establishments may benefit unless suspended; they do not list foreign ownership itself as an exclusion. The supported employee must still be Saudi and meet all employee conditions, and HRDF makes the final decision.

Does remote or part-time work qualify?

The current Employment Support criteria require full-time employment at the establishment and exclude remote and part-time work models.

This calculator is an independent planning tool and is not an HRDF eligibility decision, approval or payment commitment. Other current employee conditions include not being a student or trainee according to Ministry of Education records, not being a public- or private-sector retiree, not being a business owner or commercial-registration holder, not working for or being registered in GOSI under another establishment, and compliance with limits on previous HRDF employment support and other active training-to-employment products. A former employee generally cannot be submitted again until six months after GOSI deregistration. Always verify the current product page, targeted activities/professions and application status directly with HRDF.
