Saudi Final Settlement Calculator

Estimate final employment settlement including end-of-service benefit, unused leave, outstanding wages and notice compensation.

Salary and employee-entitlement calculators

Calculate salary, net pay, GOSI deductions, annual leave, notice period, end-of-service benefit and final settlement.

The Saudi Final Settlement Calculator combines several common employment amounts into one estimated closing figure: end-of-service benefit, unused-leave pay, outstanding worked days, notice compensation entered by the user, other entitlements and permitted deductions. It is intended as a reconciliation aid rather than an official settlement statement.

How it works

Enter the last monthly wage, service years and whether the employment relationship ended through resignation or another full-award termination scenario represented by the calculator. Then enter unused leave days, worked days whose wages remain outstanding, any notice-compensation days already determined for the employee, other entitlements and deductions. The calculator reuses the same end-of-service formula as the dedicated Saudi End of Service Benefit Calculator, values day-based items using the monthly wage divided by 30, adds the positive entitlements and subtracts the entered deductions.

The formula

Full EOSB = 0.5 × Wage × min(Years,5) + Wage × max(Years−5,0); Resignation factor = 0 before 2 years, 1/3 from 2–5 years, 2/3 above 5 and below 10 years, otherwise 1; Daily wage = Wage ÷ 30; Gross settlement = Payable EOSB + Leave pay + Outstanding wages + Notice compensation + Other entitlements; Final settlement = max(0, Gross settlement − Deductions)

Wage is the last monthly wage entered for the settlement estimate. Years are service years used by the end-of-service calculation. Leave days are unused days being valued. Outstanding worked days are days already worked but not yet paid. Notice days are compensation days that the user has independently determined are owed to the employee; the calculator does not automatically decide legal entitlement to them. Other entitlements and deductions are user-entered amounts.

Worked example

With a last wage of 6,000 SAR and eight years of service ending in a full-award scenario, the end-of-service benefit is 33,000 SAR: 15,000 for the first five years and 18,000 for the next three. Ten unused leave days add 2,000 SAR and five outstanding worked days add 1,000 SAR. With no other items or deductions, the estimated final settlement is 36,000 SAR.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this calculator reuse the end-of-service formula?

Using one shared formula prevents the final-settlement result from drifting away from the dedicated end-of-service calculator. The same wage, service and resignation rules are therefore applied consistently.

Does the calculator automatically award notice compensation?

No. The user enters notice-compensation days only when they have already determined that such compensation is applicable. This avoids treating every termination as if notice compensation were automatically owed.

How quickly should final employment entitlements be settled?

Article 88 states that when service ends, the employer should settle wages and entitlements within no more than one week; if the worker ended the contract, settlement should be completed within no more than two weeks, subject to the official text and facts of the case.

Does every resignation receive the same end-of-service award?

No. Under Article 85, the payable share depends on continuous service: no award before two years in the ordinary resignation scenario represented here, one-third from two through five years, two-thirds after five but below ten years, and the full award from ten years. Other statutory exceptions can produce different outcomes.

A real final settlement can include contractual, statutory and payroll items not represented here. The calculator also does not determine wrongful-termination compensation, special resignation exceptions, commissions, benefits in kind, debts, disputed deductions or other case-specific rights. Use the result as an estimate and reconcile it with official records and applicable legal provisions.
