Saudi Net Salary Calculator

Estimate take-home salary after employee GOSI and SANED contributions and other deductions.

Salary and employee-entitlement calculators

Calculate salary, net pay, GOSI deductions, annual leave, notice period, end-of-service benefit and final settlement.

The Saudi Net Salary Calculator estimates how much of a monthly salary remains after the employee share of Saudi social-insurance contributions and any additional deductions entered by the user. It separates gross salary from the GOSI contributory wage so the result is easier to understand and audit.

How it works

Enter the monthly basic salary, housing allowance and any other allowances. Choose whether the employee is Saudi or non-Saudi and, for a Saudi employee, whether the applicable pension coverage is the existing system or the new Social Insurance System. The calculator adds the salary components, calculates the contributory wage from basic salary plus housing subject to the calculator's GOSI wage cap, applies the employee contribution rate, subtracts any other deductions entered, and shows the estimated take-home salary.

The formula

Gross = Basic + Housing + Other; Contributory wage = min(45,000, Basic + Housing); Employee contribution = Contributory wage × Employee rate; Net = max(0, Gross − Employee contribution − Other deductions)

Gross is the total monthly salary components entered. The contributory wage is basic salary plus housing allowance, limited by the contributory-wage ceiling used by the calculator. For Saudi employees under existing coverage, the calculator uses 9% pensions plus 0.75% SANED, or 9.75% for the employee. For a person covered by the new Social Insurance System, the calculator currently uses the July 2026 phase: 10% pensions plus 0.75% SANED, or 10.75%. A non-Saudi employee is shown with no employee pension/SANED deduction in this calculator.

Worked example

A Saudi employee has a basic salary of 8,000 SAR, a housing allowance of 2,000 SAR and other allowances of 1,000 SAR. Gross salary is 11,000 SAR and the contributory wage is 10,000 SAR. Under existing coverage, the employee deduction is 10,000 × 9.75% = 975 SAR, producing an estimated net salary of 10,025 SAR before any additional deductions.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as the salary shown in my employment contract?

No. The calculator distinguishes gross salary from estimated take-home pay. Your contract may also contain benefits, commissions, bonuses, deductions or payroll items that are not represented unless you include them in the available inputs.

Why are basic salary and housing allowance used separately?

The calculator needs to distinguish the salary paid to the employee from the wage used for the GOSI contribution calculation. Other allowances can increase gross salary without necessarily being treated the same way as basic salary and housing in this calculator.

Why does the new-system contribution rate need periodic review?

GOSI's new Social Insurance System introduced a staged increase in the pensions contribution rate. The calculator currently represents the phase effective from July 2026, so the rate should be reviewed when later statutory phases take effect.

Does the result include income tax?

The calculator does not assume a general individual salary income tax. It focuses on the employee social-insurance contribution and the other deductions you enter.

This is an informational payroll estimate. Actual payroll can differ because of the employee's insurance history, coverage status, employer payroll treatment, eligible wage components, absences, advances, benefits and other contractual items. Verify material employment or contribution decisions with GOSI, the employer's payroll records and the applicable official rules.
